imagine the water level being 10 ft higher and seeing two steam paddle boats passing each other

this railroad bridge was built in the late 1800's, it has two dates a year apart on each pier to show that it took a year to cross the bayou

one of the last Confederation powder boxes still standing - used to house ammunition for the CSA Army
